Wisconsin Brat & Beer Cheese Dip Recipe



1 pound bratwurst sausages casing removed
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 loving cup flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1 loving cup beer such every bit Miller® (headquartered inwards Milwaukee)
1 bundle McCormick® Pork Gravy Mix
1 1/2 cups shredded abrupt Cheddar cheese
3/4 loving cup cheese curds or shredded white Cheddar cheese
Optional garnishes: cooked crumbled bratwurst too chopped parsley

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Cook too crumble sausage inwards large skillet on medium-high estrus until browned. Drain fat. Remove from skillet. Set aside.
  2. Melt butter inwards same large skillet on medium heat. Sprinkle alongside flour. Cook too stir i minute. Gradually stir inwards milk, beer too Gravy Mix alongside whisk until smooth. Stirring constantly, convey to boil. Reduce estrus too simmer v minutes or until sauce starts to thicken. Gradually stir inwards shredded cheese until melted too smooth. Stir inwards cooked sausage. Spoon into 9-inch drinking glass pie plate. Sprinkle alongside cheese curds.
  3. Bake fifteen minutes or until cheese melts. Serve alongside soft pretzel bites or pretzel chips. Garnish alongside crumbled sausage too parsley if desired.
